This Saturday afternoon sees the top of the table Rococo Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers face off with Mayne at the Noosa Village Autos Oval. The Rococo’s Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers had the bye last weekend which would not have done them any harm after a pretty physical last fortnight. There are several key players looking to return over the next few weeks as the Tigers start preparing for a finals onslaught.

Key forwards Ryan Jeffrey and Liam Kenny will both be putting their hands up in the coming weeks whilst gun rover Tyler Stack needs time to get over a sore calf. Swingman McKendrick remains out of action for at least another fortnight or so with silky on-baller Jai Fitzpatrick back this week after a mid season trip to Bali. Let’s have a look at those Tigers who have dominated the competition over the first part of the season.

Aaron Laskey- the skipper is just in awesome form. Never plays a bad game and is key to the Tigers premiership hopes with his set up and play making across half back. Could be used as a pinch hitting mid also if needed

Mitch Woods- the footy manager has again had another superb year on the wing. He is rarely beaten and has proven a handful to opposition when thrown into the middle as well. A model of consistency thus far.

Jai Fitzpatrick- Noosa’s ‘Rolls Royce’. He just continues to weave through traffic to set the Tigers alight time and time again. Proven big game player with the ANZAC medal already this year and a South Queensland rep jumper awaits.

Riley Buntain- exciting flamboyant defender who is rarely beaten and along with Laskey sets so much play up from the back half. Has it all; strength, pace and athleticism and just loves taking the game on. Another Tiger to represent South Queensland in a fortnight in Townsville.

Connor McDonald- just keeps improving. Now a genuine key playmaker at centre half forward for the Noosa Tigers. Also a terrific pinch hitter in the ruck however its McDonald’s work as our major focal point up forward that causes the opposition so much grief. Picked in the representative squad also and deservedly so.

Jayden Holt- the quiet achiever in the middle of the ground. Does all the team first things but this year has really showcased his sublime attacking skills by both hand and foot to be one of the Tigers best most weeks. Another representative nod to a very smart and polished on-baller.

Wil O’Dwyer – I had to mention the influence this pint sized teenager has had on the competition in season 2019. He has just become a key playmaker in the Tigers outfit. Has amazing running capacity, is a beautiful kick of the footy and has plenty of other tricks in his bag for all the Tiger faithful to see. He knows where the goals are and is playing his role to perfection. Also rewarded with a South Queensland Guernsey and rightly so.

Don’t forget to book your tickets to the President’s lunch this Saturday where Essendon great Simon Madden as our special guest. One not to be missed!

See you down at the Noosa Village Autos Oval on Saturday!

Can’t wait! Go Tigers!
