Noosa Tigers sign retiring AFL Superstar DANIEL RICH!
In the biggest signing of the clubs history, the Noosa Tigers are absolutely over the moon to secure Daniel for the upcoming 2024 season.
Daniel’s career speaks for itself and fresh off the back off winning the longest kick competition on Grand Final day, it will be fantastic to see Richie running off half back & hitting our key forwards from 65 meters away.
Daniel will be a magnificent ambassador for Sunshine Coast footy and will be such a great mentor to our junior players, someone they can look up to and aspire to emulate.

Ben Collins Comments: Its been 6 months of low level chats with Richie including having him come up and run our Junior Holiday Clinic and having a hit of golf. Richie spoke about wanting to stay & play in South East Queensland post his AFL career and was really interested in playing at Noosa. Talks really started to heat up when he made his decision to retire and when we secured ex–teammate & close friend Matty Luenberger as Senior Coach, that was the icing on the cake. I’m so excited to see what Richie can bring to not only our Senior playing group but the Noosa football community as a whole. He is a very humble & down to earth bloke and I have no doubt he will fit in at the Noosa Tigers.

We would like to welcome Daniel, his wife Lauren, son Xander & daughter Indiana to the Noosa Tigers Family (Xander hasn’t taken the Noosa Tigers Polo off for a week now)!
A massive, massive thanks to John Madill Toyota whom without their fantastic support, as with all our sponsors, our recruiting and making the club a better place would not be possible.

2024 can’t come soon enough.
