The Skipper RESIGNS.

Noosa welcome’s back our current Best & Fairest winner Aaron Laskey. After coming runner up in the B&F 4 years in a row Aaron Laskey finally broke through for his first B&F award in our first year in the QAFL. Aaron is one of the most loved players in the club’s history and is without doubt the most respected player at our club.

Aarons excitement for 2022 showed when we sat down with him after he put pen to paper. Welcome back Skip

Laskey answered a few questions to for our supporters

Name: Aaron Laskey

Age: 28

Position: Mid/Utility

Noosa AFC: Welcome back to the Noosa Football Club, what made you decide to play for us in 2022?

Laskey: The Challenge of coming up to the QAFL this year was harder than we anticipated and even though we struggled we were so close in a lot of games so I believe with Rourkey coming in plus the clubs signings so far, I believe we can change a few things and start to have a real impact at this level. We have had a lot of success at the lower level, and I’ve loved every second of it but we need to strive to be better and I’m just so excited to be a part of this challenge moving forward.

Noosa AFC: What would be your best position?

Laskey: I’ve loved playing through the midfield but id say half back would be my best position

Noosa AFC: What do you do for work?

Laskey: I’m a Personal Trainer at one of our sponsors Jett’s Noosa & I also do some mobile personal training

Noosa AFC: Do you have any other hobbies away from footy?

Laskey: I enjoy a hit of golf, I also do a bit of hiking & don’t mind a beer with mates

Noosa AFC: Career Highlights?

  • Playing in 3 senior Premierships at Noosa are a standout but winning back to back 2019 & 2020 are without doubt the best highlight of my career
  • I was also pretty happy I could finally get over the line this year in the B&F as I’ve been runner up 4 times in a row

Noosa AFC: What AFL club do you support, who is you Favorite Former player & Current AFL Footballer?

Laskey: Collingwood, Nathan Buckley & I love watching Travis Boak & Clayton Oliver these days

Noosa AFC: What do you want to achieve at Noosa AFC both personally & as a team in 2022

Personally – Maintain my consistency over the last few years, help drive the culture and standards in our group.

Team – Be Competitive, make finals and win a final.

Noosa AFC: Well Skip, I’m sure I can talk for everyone involved in our club in saying its such a pleasure having you at Noosa and excited to see what you can help the group achieve in 2022.
