The smile says it all really. 12 year old Raffi this week received an invitation to the Level 1 Brisbane Lions Academy.
After strong appearances with the Noosa Tigers under 13’s girls team, Raffi got selected to represent Sunshine Coast to play regionals in Mackay last weekend. Only a couple of days following the carnival, Raffi and her family received the exciting news.
Following the carnival Raffi wrote:
“Being a part of the Sunshine Coast team was a great experience. I learnt a bunch of new skills and met and played with a bunch of great footballers. The competition was a lot more competitive and intense than club footy. Overall it was an amazing experience. If you ever get the chance to do it, I highly recommend – it is a great way to advance your footy for the future.” – Raff B.
We wish to congratulate Raff and her family and wish her all of the best as she begins a new chapter in her football career. We know you will do us all proud.
